the journey

Today our teacher , Mr Maran, brought us to East Coast Park for Lessons. As we gather at the school foyer, we waited for our teacher to arrive before we made our way to East Coast Park. My friends and I chatted merrily as the teacher then gave us instruction on what to do. Excitedly, we walk quickly out of the school. On the way, I heard the chirping of birds and rustling of the leaves. Fortunately, the weather was quite fine. As we continue, I saw a huge spider web and a puny spider. I was shocked upon seeing this sight! "How could a small spider build such a big home?" I wondered. Shortly after, we reached our destination. We gathered at the beach and then Mr Maran then gave us his next instruction. Soon it time for dismissal. Reluctantly, we went back to school and we were dismiss from there. Today's English lesson was terrific and how wish every lessons would be like this one!

Family outing

Today, my family and I went to my uncle's house for swimming. I was very excited to meet my cousins and play with them. Soon, we reached our destination. It was about noon and we had our lunch. We chatted among ourselves and time flies. Soon, it was 2p.m. Since, it was too hot for a swim; we stayed in house and played computer games for a while to past time. We had so much fun until we almost forgot that we are going for swimming! Not long after the sun hid behind the clouds and it was just a perfect weather for a swim! As we splashed water at each other, a brilliant smile spread across our faces the clock ticks by as it was time for dinner. Reluctantly, we got and bathed. After having our dinner, we bide goodbye as we went home. It was such enjoying and I wished there more of such family gathering in the future.

Drill training

Today, I had a tedious training at the school with my friends. We wore the uniform and march under the hot sun. Perspiration dripped down my back as we continued to do physical training. Not long after, my arms start to ach. Though the the training were tiring, we did gain some muscles back and have better endurance. The most fun part of the training was playing soccer. In the game, I score one goal and I was over the moon! However, our seniors still win us by a score of one goal. The training soon comes to an end at around 6.30 p.m. After that we went home. I personally find this training exhausting, but I manage to learn a few more drills and become more fit.

Trainfire

12 Jan 2008

Today, my NCC friends and I went to the Yio Chu Kang Camp for a train fire session. People from different school gathered there and learnt about rifles. I consider this trip a fruitful one as I learnt much knowledge about rifles. Firstly, I learnt how to strip the rifle and assembling them back. Besides, I also learnt the uses and the parts of the rifle. When the sir asked us to strip the rifles and assemble them back, I had a timing of only two minutes! For me, I find that I have improved compare to secondary one. The training last for about two to three hours and we made our way home. While going out of the camp, we have marched out! After holding the rifles for so long, my arms feel like breaking! Although it was tiring, but I definitely learnt more about rifles!
